Post-Processing // Personal
If you hadn't noticed by now, I love love to take Hadley out on spur-of-the-moment photo shoots! When I'm bored and the light is lovely and I don't have any other sessions scheduled, I like to grab my cute little girl and work on a variety of different things, like shooting in manual mode, lighting, composition, etc.
Here's yet another mini session we did a couple of weekends ago! We just went across the street into a vacant lot and got a few shots in the pretty afternoon light. It was also a good opportunity for me to practice cloning things out during post-processing (like the many distracting objects around our house...).
Her "fashion pose" :)
My first attempt at cloning objects out of the background (there were a few posts, a fire hydrant, and some construction items lying around)
And just for fun: Here's a before and after of one of my favorite images from this session...
I edited this in Lightroom 3. I adjusted the brightness, contrast, and black sliders (all positive), then used the Adjustment Brush to lighten her face and brighten her eyes. I played with the black slider a little more until I got the look I wanted, and voila! Done. :)
