Moving // Personal

I've been a little busy these last few weeks, what with moving and unpacking and the holidays and school and work--phew! But I finally have some time today to write a quick update for you, so here goes!

Firs of all: can you believe that there are only 2 weeks left until Christmas?? Where did the time go? And before we know it, it'll be 2012 and another year will be flying by... Craziness.

Anyways. :) We finally moved into our house the week of Thanksgiving, and we absolutely love it! All of the boxes are unpacked and most of the rooms are more or less furnished; now I just have to finish decorating and organizing and then I can post some good pictures! But for now the few phone pics I took will have to do. :)

The front of our house (this was taken when they were still working on it).

SOLD to us! :)

Little Hadley hunting for grasshoppers in our yard/dirt

I am so in love with this kitchen!

Master bathroom. This is the first house we've ever lived in that had a master suite. We feel so spoiled now!

This was the only photo displayed in our house for a while... taken by the amazing Amber Fischer Photography, of course!

We love our hardwood floors, but the living room needed a soft, squishy rug to make it feel more cozy. :) We got this rug on sale at Home Depot and it was exactly what I was envisioning for this space.

Our Christmas decorations! Isn't our fireplace so cute??

Hadley's room. It's not finished yet, but I like the way it's turning out. :)

Glamorous black and white photos + girly pink details = lovely little girl room

As for the jobs... Avram started his new job right after Thanksgiving, and even though it seems like he's gone or busy all the time , he really enjoys the challenge. As for me, I've had a few photography opportunities lately, mostly doing military homecomings, but I'm working on some new advertising and hope to get my name out there very soon so I can start booking more sessions!

Hadley is thriving in school! She's only going once a week this year, but she comes home each day very excited about what she did that day. She's learning her letters, numbers, shapes, and colors, and she's even started writing her name and other short words, too!

Oh, another big occasion that happened this past month: my little girl turned FOUR. I can't believe she's that old! She's very happy and bubbly and outgoing, and has a sweet and silly personality. Her favorite things are horses, Olivia, books, dancing, singing, art, and stuffed animals. I love her so much!

This is from her birthday. I know, I'm such a horrible photo Mama--I didn't even get one picture with my camera, just a few with my phone! (In my defense, we were up to our knees in boxes and I was working like a mad woman trying to get them unpacked before Thanksgiving. Yeah, I didn't think a was a good excuse, either.)

She got new slippers for her birthday! Very much needed since we discovered that our lovely floors are COLD in the mornings. :)

The other day we made this cute little gingerbread house. Hadley had so much fun decorating it that it was totally worth the huge mess I had to clean up. :)

I tell you what, this girl is clumsy (takes after her Mommy, I'm afraid...)! See that nice bruise on her forehead? She walked right into a wall. Seriously. *Sigh*

Riding in Daddy's truck = photo op

Just a random picture to show off my new hat...

That's all I have for now! Check back soon for more pictures of house!
